The Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum is located in a historic plantation-era residence across from Hawaii’s last sugar producing mill in the former plantation town of Pu`unene. The museum presents information about the sugar industry and the inner workings of a sugar mill. The museum also depicts sugar’s influence on the development of Maui’s water resources and describes plantation community life and the multi-ethnic immigrants who came here to work for the plantations.
