The jewel on the Patuxent River, the Calvert Marine Museum takes you on a journey through the prehistory, natural history, and maritime heritage of the Chesapeake Bay region. Immersive exhibits delve into the Miocene epoch 8 – 20 million years ago when giant Megalodon sharks roamed the warm sub-tropical ocean; a 13-tank aquarium introduces you to life under and around the waters of the bay; iconic work boats, lighthouses, and stories of the men and women who worked these waters through the years tell the human story.

The Museum is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Museum expects to reopen with limited capacity following CDC guidelines and may not accept coupons. Check back later for update.
