The William King Museum of Art is the premier visual arts facility in the region. The museum offers outstanding fine world art, contemporary regional art and cultural heritage exhibits that change frequently, giving visitors a new experience each time they walk through our doors. Founded in 1989 and housed in a historic 1913 former school, WKMA has been an integral part of the cultural fabric of Southwest Virginia. WKMA is a non-profit art museum and Virginia’s only nationally accredited museum west of Roanoke. Admission to the museum is now free!
